Rotary Florida West Coast Trip 2013

Day 6- Hollywood

We woke up at 7ish and ate breakfast at 8. The food was delicious! We had toast and eggs and ham and juice and then we went took the bus to the Madame Tussauds. I saw tons of wax statues including Rihanna, Beyonce, and Hannibal. Hannibal was the scariest; He was making a creepy face and looked so realistic! The wax museum was divided into rooms by industries and time periods. First it was pop stars and actors/actresses, then it was a lot of dead actors from old movies, then it was the old western film stars, then there were sport stars like David Beckham, then there were some of the most famous pop stars including Whitney Houston, and Michael Jackson. Mie freaked out when she saw Michael and kissed and hugged him. And we took a lot more pictures, posing with the statues and mimicking them. I took a picture putting my finger in Robert Patterson’s nose because I don’t like him.

After the wax museum, Mie and I tried to find Michael Jackson’s star, but his star was removed because they were restoring it. Mie was pretty frustrated (almost as frustrated as I was when I found out that Shakira wasn’t in the wax museum). We found a lot of cool star’s stars (ha ha) and then we went to go take pictures in front of the Hollywood sign, but it was pretty far away. Then we found my favorite ice cream (COTTON CANDY!) because I have to try that flavor whenever I see it, but it wasn’t very tasty unfortunately sooo I got a different kind of ice cream, mixed cheesecake, and it was amazing! After we ate ice cream we went to go back to the bus to go to Huntington Beach (Surf City U.S.A.) At the beach we ate at Subway and then we went the Brazilian flip flop store Havaianas and I bought a pair of flip flops. Then we went to the beach to see the Pacific Ocean for the first time! It was colder and wavier than the Atlantic but it was really pretty! The pier was beautiful and I loved walking down it! Then we played volleyball and then we left to go to dinner at Bucco de Beppos. I ate bread, spaghetti and alfredo and chicken and more cheesecake! It was an amazing day!!
