DAY 3 Las Vegas Baby!!

After our hike in the Grand Canyon it was time to roll out to Las Vegas, but not without stepping back in time. We got our kicks on ROUTE 66!! The famous road connects Chicago to Los Angeles. During the 50's, thousands of people drove on this road to make a new life for themselves. We stopped on just a part of the road in Seligman, Arizona. We thought it was a unique town because there were so many interesting things to look at. In one shop there was currency from almost every country in the world. Most of us had a fun time finding our currency but the old dollar from Ecuador couldn't be found. There was a lot of old cars and in a barbershop you could give the old barber your card and he would hang it on the wall. There were thousands of business cards. Seligman was a fun town to stop in, but we wanted to get to our final destination of Las Vegas.

Bright lights wherever you turn. One minute we are in Paris and then 500 feet later we are in Venice. This must mean Florida Rotary Youth Exchange has taken over Las Vegas!!!

This was one special night. All of us went back to the hotel to put our best clothes because of course you can't go to Vegas without seeing the night life. The boys looked good and the girls were beautiful. All of us were looking good so how are you suppose to get around Vegas??? In a limo of course. We danced the night away in our limos, did we mention they were HUMMER LIMOS!! It was an amazing night! Our first stop was Frontier Street were we saw a fantastic band and a really cool light show based on the band Queen. Our second stop was at the Bellagio to see the famous water fountain show. The music we saw the fountains too was Viva Las Vegas, by none other than Elvis Presley. You can't go to Vegas though without stopping at the famous "Welcome to Las Vegas" sign!!! We danced all the way back to the hotel for a goods night rest because tomorrow we have the Stratosphere with a bunch of scary rides. Stay tuned for the next part of our adventure because there is always more to come!
