Day 11- San Fran

Today we started out with a buffet breakfast. Walking down the hotel hallway, our noses filled with the scent of eggs, bacon and fresh coffee. After a relaxing meal, we drove to Pier 39, where we saw some sea lions! We took a lot of pictures and imitated their strange sounds. Then we took the cable cars up and down the streets of San Fran. The streets were so hilly and twisted. And the cable cars were pretty crowded and exciting! The cars went a lot faster than we expected. After our ride up and down the streets of San Fran, we ate lunch and went shopping at stores like H&M and Forever 21!

I went to eat Thai food at a Thai BBQ restaurant and it was sOOOO good and really authentic (Earn).
Then we went back on the bus to get a city tour and a lot of people slept. Unfortunately the weather was not very good and it drizzled for a lot of the day. The flowers and views were really pretty though! But by the time we got to China Town it stopped raining luckily and we had an hour to explore the area before dinner! It’s a cool place, but it smelled kind of strange. The Chinese lanterns decorated the streets and the food at the restaurant we went to was awesomeee. We had so much food, I was about to die (Matheus). We had a spicy chile pepper eating championship. Lucia came in first place with 8 chiles! We had green tea ice cream for dessert and it was really delicious. I'm excited for our last day, but sad at the same time :(

Day 10- San Fran!

This morning was great because, we got to sleep in! We hit the road at ten, which gave all of us some rest. Next stop...San Francisco.

We were excited to see this city we've only dreamed of!

Our lunch stop was special...at In-N-Out Burger...a West Coast favorite. We tried the animal style fries, which were really good!

Next we crossed the Bay Bridge and saw our first glimpse of the beautiful San Francisco. We headed to the deYoung Art Museum where we saw some unusual and interesting art, and got go up to an observation deck to get a great view of the entire city.

On our way to Pier 39, we got to make a stop at Ghiraldelli Square...chocolate city! We tasted some delicious and famous San Francisco chocolates and many of us bought some as a gift for our lovely host families.

Then we made it to Pier 39 and did some awesome shopping followed by a delicious dinner at Bubba Gump Shrimp Co.

It was a cold evening so after a little more shopping we were ready to head back to the hotel.

Now we are all checked in, ready for tomorrow...excited to see more of the  city and ride a cable car!
